Image Description and Details: LDN 1436 and LDN 1438 are two dark nebulae composed primarily of interstellar dust that blocks background light. The red streak is part of a supernova remnant located in the constellation Auriga, about 5,000 light-years away. It is situated behind the Auriga dust complex in Taurus, about 300 light-years away, giving it the ghostly appearance of meandering around the foreground dark nebula.
Capturing images on multiple nights and multiple teams.
