Date image was taken: November 09, 2023
Location: Sierra Remote Observatories
Image Description and Details: If you have ever looked at an astronomy book it's likely you have seen the Horsehead Nebula within its pages. It's a popular target for amateurs but it's also a challenging target thanks to the proximity of Alnitak. In our case, Alnitak wasn't even in the frame and it still left its marks on the broadband data.
Thankfully, it was possible to clean up much of that and this was the result.
Blue 50 mm: 18×600″(3h) -25°C bin 2×2
Green 50 mm: 19×600″(3h 10′) -25°C bin 2×2
Red 50 mm: 15×600″(2h 30′) -25°C bin 2×2
H-alpha 5nm 50 mm: 50×900″(12h 30′) -25°C bin 1×1
21h 10m total data.
