LbN 468

Here is LBN 468, also called Loop of Darkness.

This is a dark nebula located about 1,600 light-years from Earth, visible in the constellation of Cepheus.

At the very bottom of the image, you can see a galaxy : NGC 6951.

During our stay at the Saint-Véran observatory, we managed to pose a few hours together on this dark nebula, despite very changeable and not ideal weather. The quality of the sky compensated for the few hours of poses.

We mixed our data to arrive at this beautiful final image, under the advice of our friend Yann Sty, for the assembly of images from different setups.

Cédric imaged with a ZWO Astrophotography 2600MC Pro color camera through a Askar FRA400, and as for me, I imaged with a ZWO 6200MM Pro camera through a Askar FRA600, with an Optolong luminance filter, which gives exactly the same field.
