Image Description and Details: NGC 4945 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Centaurus, about 13 million light-years from Earth. It is one of the brightest galaxies in the Centaurus A/M83 group. The galaxy has an active galactic nucleus, which contains a supermassive black hole and emits intense radiation, including X-rays and radio waves. With an apparent magnitude of 9.3, NGC 4945 is visible with amateur telescopes, especially from the Southern Hemisphere. The galaxy has an approximate diameter of 85,000 light-years and is part of a group that includes other notable galaxies such as Centaurus A and M83.
