Image Description and Details: Rising Orion over Śnieżka, the highest peak of the Karkonosze Mountains, Lower Silesia in Poland and the highest mountain in the Czech Republic.
The winter scenery blends beautifully with the stars and the Dom Śląski mountain shelter.
The Karkonosze Mountains are very beautiful in winter, but also very cold, the temperature here was -17 degrees Celsius and strong wind. Still, it was worth the climb for this shot.
