Image Description and Details: Here's a large field at the northern tip of the Monoceros constellation.

This rich genus features a wide variety of different nebulae, from emission nebulae to reflection nebulae and dark nebulae.

The high blue concentration of [Oiii] on the right of the image contrasts with the red of the Ha that dominates this large field. The dust clouds add a striking contrast to this cosmic work of art.

What I find very interesting about wide fields is that they put into perspective objects that are notorious for being shot at longer focal lengths.

For example, the Cone Nebula and the Christmas Tree Cluster look small next to Dreyer's Nebula.

And above all, these high-definition fields allow you to take a trip into the immensity of the cosmos as you walk through the HD version.

Integration (62h12):
Ha: 341×300″(28h 25′)
Oiii: 176×300″(14h 40′)
L: 411×60″(6h 51′)
B: 272×60″(4h 32′)
G: 232×60″(3h 52′)
R: 232×60″(3h 52′)
