Este fue uno de mis primeros objetivos visuales hace unos treinta años atrás, usando mi Celestron C8+ De Luxe que aún conservo. Para poder "ver" este objeto había que aprender a hacer lo que en astronomía visual conocemos como "adverted vision"; es decir, no mirar directamente el objeto sino hacia sus lados de manera de poder percibir mejor los fotones del objeto en estudio con los bastones que están levemente fuera del eje optico del globo ocular.

Decidí dar esta versión "hacia el azul", porque precísamente mis recuerdo de esa noche en la cordillera de la región central de Chile rememoran esa tonalidad.

My version of Centaurus A. Obtained remotely from ODC - Cosmic Desert Observatory, in Copiapó - Atacama Region - Chile.

This was one of my first visual targets about thirty years ago, using my Celestron C8+ De Luxe, which I still have. To "see" this object you had to learn to do what we know in visual astronomy as "advertised vision"; that is, not looking directly at the object but towards its sides to be able to better perceive the photons of the object under study with the rods that are slightly outside the optical axis of the eyeball.

I decided to give this version "bluish" because precisely my memory of that night in the mountain range of the central region of Chile recalls that tone.
