The Rho Ophiuchi nebular complex is a gigantic cloud of stellar dust and gas located 460 light-years from Earth in the constellation Ophiuchus. It is one of the closest stellar nurseries to the our solar system and a favorite for astro-photographers using wide field equipment. This awesome wide filed image of Rho was taken with a Samyang 135mm lens and a Canon 6D modified DSLR.

100, 90 second subs were aligned then stacked to compos this final result.

Images taken from the dark skis of Tivoli-Southern Sky Guest Farm in Namibia.
