Image Description and Details: There are some images, which, after you create, makes you happy. This is one of them. The image was never planned and I came across the idea earlier this morning. Besides creating an image, what made me happy is that it was very close to how I imagined it to be. Those who have been with me in the field will know I have some serious obsession with Venus, and this image fulfills that!
The image shows Venus, as the Evening Star in varying background of twilight colours. As twilight progresses, the background stars, including the Sagittarius arm and nebulae are slowly revealed. The change in colours and background within the same twilight period, that ranged around 26 minutes during this period and latitude. A brief explanation of twilight is below:
Civil: Sun is 0°-6° below horizon
Nautical: Sun is 6°-12° below horizon
Astronomical: Sun is 12°-18° below horizon
Night: Sun is more than 18° below horizon
The images span over 3 days (30th Oct, 31st Oct, 2nd Nov). After the idea came to me, I started looking for all the Venus images from my recent trip and initially sorted around 20 images. Finally 8 images were chosen that matched the timing and composition. I hope you like the final output.
The images were captured with different sets of cameras and lenses including Nikon Z8, Z6iii, Z6ii and Nikon Z 14-24, Z 20mm, on top of Leofoto and Benro tripods.
